Taisere Conservancy Formed

The Amboseli Ecosystem Trust (AET) witnessed the formation of a new community conservancy: Taisere Conservancy.

The landowners of the Olgulului Group Ranch, led by their Executive Committee, agreed to form the new conservancy in a meeting held on Friday 26 January 2024.

Taisere Conservancy will border the Kitenden Wildlife Corridor, Kitirua Conservancy, and the Amboseli National Park.

This is a great step towards ensuring landscape connectivity for wildlife from one protected area to another and enhancing the benefits communities receive from wildlife conservation.

It is in line with AET’s unwavering commitment to work with the communities, partners, and stakeholders in the Amboseli Ecosystem to ensure both the people and wildlife of Amboseli can thrive and coexist peacefully.
